1. Empleabilidad

La tasa de ocupación de Educación Infantil es del 95,8% (+ de 8 puntos sobre la media de las universidades catalanas AQU 2023).

La Universitat Abat Oliba CEU ofrece un sólido, profundo y profesional plan de estudios, resultado de la suma de experiencias educativas universitarias vividas tanto en el área de Humanidades, como en las escuelas de magisterio de Vigo y Sevilla, más los centros escolares de los que el grupo CEU dispone por todo el territorio nacional.

La finalidad de este grado es ofrecer una formación integrada y completa, para que los maestros, además de una elevada cualificación técnica y científica, consigan una capacitación pedagógica y didáctica que les permita ser excelentes docentes y educadores, maestros que sientan la educación como una vocación.

3. Curso intensivo de preparación para el acceso a los grados de Educación 

Curso intensivo de lógica/matemáticas y de lengua catalana para superar la prueba de aptitud personal requerida para acceder a los grados en Educación Infantil y Educación Primaria.

4. Programa de inmersión escolar

Desde el primer curso de la carrera, los alumnos participan directamente en las actividades reales que se desarrollan en los centros educativos de la Fundación Abat Oliba, posibilitando un conocimiento práctico de la función docente y de todo aquello que rodea el ejercicio de la enseñanza.

  • observación sistemática en clases reales
  • asistencia a juntas de planificación y evaluación
  • entrada en las clases de sus profesores de didáctica, de manera que puedan observar y realizar lo que ellos mismos enseñan
  • charlas con maestros con diferentes grados de experiencia acerca de sus motivaciones, dificultades, desafíos, etc.
  • visitas y excursiones a centros culturales y deportivos para conocer los departamentos pedagógicos y las actividades que realizan
  • colaboración en la organización y realización de festivales de fin de curso, fiestas tradicionales como Sant Jordi, la Castañada, Navidad, etc.
5. Jornadas y seminarios

• Education TALKS: encuentros dinámicos e innovadores concebidos para propiciar una reflexión de carácter global sobre nuevas formas y métodos de enseñanza.
• EDUCongress: dirigido a profesionales de la educación que trabajan favoreciendo el desarrollo de los niños.

6. Programa de competencias CEU ePlus

Modelo docente basado en la formación práctica y personalizada que permite vincular los conocimientos teóricos a la praxis profesional, mediante estudios de casos y experiencias reales, talleres y seminarios prácticos.
Incluye visitas a empresas y centros de producción tanto nacionales como internacionales mediante stages.

7. Progressive International Development

Nuevo itinerario de experiencia internacional que fomenta que los alumnos de los grados de Educación puedan internacionalizarse desde primer curso hasta cuarto con actividades de colaboración internacional, intercambios académicos de profesorado y alumnos, participación en proyectos de investigación internacionales y propuesta de estancias breves o largas en universidades extranjeras.

1.º) Los alumnos vivirán una experiencia de investigación online con expertos de educación del ámbito europeo.
2.º) Ofrecemos una primera experiencia internacional, participando en eventos de dimensión mundial en el ámbito de la educación.
3.º) Preparamos a los alumnos para los retos más recientes mediante el programa de prácticas y estudios internacionales en Inglaterra, Irlanda y Finlandia.
4.º) Ampliamos horizontes mediante el programa Erasmus, o mediante estancias semestrales en una de nuestras universidades partner en America y Europa.

Students who earn the Official Degree in Early Childhood Education from Abat Oliba CEU University can pursue their careers in the following areas:

INTERNSHIPS

In the final year of the degree, students will do an obligatory placement year, or internship, in businesses, offices or institutions in the student's preferred industry.

These practical training programmes, included in the course structure, allow students to apply and enhance what they've learned in the course while acquiring the professional skills that will make their future transition to the workplace much easier.

The work that each student will undertake during the programme will be mutually agreed between the tutor in the business and the Work Placement and Employment Service coordinator in charge of the internship.

Furthermore, students have an academic tutor who provides follow-up and evaluation of the internship to get the most possible out of the placement.

Tuition fees correspond, solely and exclusively, to the provision of teaching as part of the programme enrolled on, and this is the only service offered in exchange for the payment of those fees. By enrolling, the student accepts that decisions made by the competent authorities may, directly or indirectly, render it necessary to carry out teaching, tutoring, work placements or assessment tests either in person or via distance learning.

The student accepts that they remain obliged to pay any such fees in full even if, for reasons beyond the control of the University, some of the educational activities included in the degree cannot be carried out as initially provided for in the course guides at the beginning of the academic year. If restrictions are part in place, the University will provide the student with a guarantee that the activity will be rescheduled when possible, taking into consideration the interests of the student and any other applicable academic criteria.

RESERVE YOUR PLACE

Once you've been accepted on the course, you can reserve your place at Abat Oliba CEU University, which guarantees you a place on the course, before you pass the “selectivity” university entrance exam* or other entry requirements. You can do this by making a payment of €1500 (which will be deducted from the total price of the course).


*Reservation of your place will be effective exclusively for the ordinary examination period (June) of the Baccalaureate University Entrance exam. Candidates who do not pass the Baccalaureate University Entrance exam or other access requirements for similar studies in the ordinary period (June), and have paid the Place Reservation Fee, will have priority in the September enrolment if the University has places available in the degree course requested.


Cancelling your place after reservation: students have until 21 June to cancel their reserved place. This means you can book now and cancel if your circumstances change later on.**

PAYMENT METHODS

Once you have formalised reservation of your place, the remaining amount can be paid in the following ways:

  • One-off payment

    A one-off payment entitles you to a discount of 3% on tuition fees.

  • Payment by instalments

    5 instalments per year.

 

  • Monthly payments

    10 instalments with special 0% interest financing from CaixaBank. This also entitles students to a discount of 3% on tuition fees.

  • new special financing

    New financing agreements with banks with special conditions.

Quality and regulation

ADMISSION PROFILE

Students must be interested in education and see the teaching profession a vocation dedicated to the individual and common good, as it is understood by most cultural traditions, ours in particular. Similarly, they must feel an inclination to the well-being of children at the early childhood education age. Without this, it will be hard to take on the inherent difficulties of teaching children at this level of development.

They must have the intellectual capacity to adapt to the cognitive conditions of their students and know how to adapt teaching methods to most efficiently achieve their teaching objectives.

Communication must come naturally, not just the written and spoken word, but through other media that elicit an active response from students, such as music, drawing, etc.

They must also know how to work in a team, both in concrete teaching tasks, as well as in more complex institutional backgrounds, such as schools.

An important condition for aspiring educators at the early childhood stage is the ability to mediate and resolve conflicts both in the classroom as well as in other areas of the educational community. In particular, students must know how to communicate with families, always respecting the schools subsidiary roles to parents.

OBJECTIVES

  • To have a solid understanding of the historical, philosophical, psychological and teaching foundations of education, children from 0 to 6 and the school system.
  • To have a solid understanding of content from different early childhood education disciplines.
  • To gain practical and applied teacher training covering all disciplines and school organisation.
  • To develop skills to work professionally and efficiently, both individually and in a team, for the good of the students. Graduates will be able to cater to each individual circumstance and act as a subsidiary collaborator with parents' educational work.
  • To stay constantly up to date with the latest knowledge and abilities, particularly when it comes to the changes that the information society is going through.
  • To occupy a valuable space in the school and sociocultural sphere, particularly regarding the relationship between schools and families.
  • To learn scientific skills to be able to implement new contributions to the world of teaching in any of their fields.
