The CEU UAO Degree in Medicine is aimed at students with a genuine vocation for service, an interest in science and the desire to contribute to the well-being of people and society. We are looking for young people with intellectual curiosity, human sensitivity and the ability to work in teams in changing and demanding environments.

At the CEU UAO, we train trustworthy, scientific and humanist doctors who are prepared to understand the patient in all their dimensions —biological, psychological and social— and to face with leadership and commitment the challenges of the 21^st century healthcare system.

The CEU UAO Degree in Medicine aims to train healthcare professionals with a solid scientific, humanist and ethical foundation. Its objective is to train doctors who are capable of meeting the challenges of the current healthcare system with commitment, competence and a holistic view of the individual.

Specific objectives of the Degree in Medicine:

• To train competent, committed doctors. To provide a solid scientific, clinical and humanistic foundation that enables students to practice medicine with excellence, responsibility and ethical commitment.
• To develop a holistic view of health. To promote a global understanding of the individual and the biological, psychological and social determinants of health and illness, fostering a patient-centred approach.
• To promote hands-on learning and early clinical experience. To integrate theoretical training with clinical practice in hospitals and primary care centres from the very outset of the degree programme, encouraging learning through direct experience.
• To foster critical thinking, research and innovation. To develop analytical skills, a scientific attitude and the use of new technologies applied to medicine, promoting research and continuous improvement.

• To enhance interdisciplinary skills and professional leadership. To strengthen communicative skills, team work, time management and leadership, all of which are essential for effective performance in complex healthcare settings.
